Press Release Oct 2007.
Alp-Line.com the biggest airport transfer company in the French Alps are proud to announce that they are the first transfer company to take the positive step of becoming carbon neutral offsetting over 1 million kilometres of transfers.
With concerns over global warming increasing steadily for the past 10 years (the 7 hottest years ever recorded occurred in the last 10 years) the public and scientific community have realised that global warming is actually happening. Alp-Line.com felt compelled to act and make their transfers as environmentally friendly as possible.
Ian Welsh, Operations Director cites “many people overlook the impact of their ski transfer and just concentrate on the emissions from their flights”. Mark Noble, company director said ”I hope this positive change allows us all to enjoy the Alps for years to come, and I would encourage others to do the same”
Living and working in the Alps gives the management of Alp-Line a great understanding of how fragile the planet is and why we all need to do our bit to protect it for future generations to enjoy.
By choosing an Alp-Line transfer customers can be confident that they have done something to limit their carbon emissions during their holiday. Alp-Line are encouraging their customers to use their offset partner, to offset their flight emissions lessening the impact of their holiday even further.
