Three Valleys ski area, 'no frills' Les Menuires would not win awards for Alpline charm or sophisticated chic. However, for those who choose to ski rather than admire achitectural accomplishment or prance around wearing fur coats, the resort's abundance of ski-in ski-out accommodation, provision for families and access to 600 kilometers of pistes undoubtedly deserves a big 'thumbs up'. Recent redevelopment, including the addition of new, chalet style accommodation has greatly improved the outward appearance of Les Menuires, as well as general facilities on offer. Off the piste, visitors can now enjoy in-door and out-door swimming, a fitness room/gym, plus over thirty restaurants and bars. Les Menuires itself offers varied terrain, suitable for all abilities, along with direct links to close its close neighbour, Val Thorens.
